We always greatly appreciate donations of kids items you no longer need. Donated items, and any we purchase ourselves, are loaned out freely to the kids or given freely
for them to keep (depending on the nature of the item and our supplies
available). To inquire about donating items or to arrange a pick-up, meet-up or drop-off in the Gravenhurst/South Muskoka area, please email us at either address shown in the image above.
Types of items regularly in need by the kids:
- Any fishing items - rods, reels, tackle, boxes etc. We'll gladly accept damaged gear too as we can often repair or use it for parts to fix other fishing gear.
- Kids' hockey and baseball gear - Mainly Youth (4-6 year old size) up to small Intermediate (approx 12/14 year old size). Any condition is fine as we are happy to do any necessary clean-up and repair to get items in good shape for the kids to use.
- Skatepark toys - skateboards and scooters in any condition.
- Sandbox toys - construction trucks and cars.
- Wagons
- Child size canoe paddles and life jackets
- Wet suits - boys sizes 4-10, to provide a little warmth for outdoor swimming lessons and water play.
- All articles of boys clothing, any season, sizes baby to youth Large
14/16. Any condition is fine as we can do some repairs. Irreparable
articles can be used for parts to repair other clothing or to make other
useful kids' items.
- Kids room items - kid size furniture, bedding etc.
If you're unsure about an item to donate we'll be happy to let you know if we have anyone in need that would be pleased to make use of it.
Donated items do not end up sold in any of our fundraisers. Items sold in our fundraisers are only those we've purchased ourselves and are not in immediate need by any of our Otter Team kids. In the future we might only consider selling a donated item if the donor is agreeable to a sale to help us raise funds and if we have no kids in immediate need of the item.
